Parent Resources
I will often have parents ask me: "How can I help my child at home?"
My response: READ!
Reading is a wonderful family activity. Read to your child. Ask your child to find letters or words that they may know. Point to the words as you read and encourage your child to read along with you.
Ask your child to tell you about the pictures. Have a conversation about the pictures they see, such as why an illustrator may have drawn something.
As you do errands, ask your child to find letters and words. Soon, they will begin to see letters everywhere!
